With your support, Olympic Neighbors is able to make an impact and significantly improve the quality of life for people with developmental disabilities. Your contribution goes directly towards covering the cost of providing affordable housing and 24-hour staff in our adult family home who support our residents to live independently and be an active part of the local community. Donations may also be used to cover basic needs such as food and clothing; camp scholarships; classes; and recreational activities.

Required minimum distributions (RMDs) must be taken each year from an IRA beginning with the year you turn age 70 ½. A “qualified charitable distribution” is a way to transfer directly all or part of the RMD from your IRA to Olympic Neighbors without increasing your adjusted gross income. Consider donating stocks or bonds to Olympic Neighbors! Gifting stocks or bonds that you have owned for at least one year are eligible for a deduction of the full mean market value of the security on the date that we receive it. You not only receive an income tax deduction for the full fair market value, you also avoid capital gains tax on the appreciate.
